As the donor engagement coordinator, Abby Morimura provides stewardship for donors to the Missouri School of Journalism and Reynolds Journalism Institute. She also provides high-touch engagement and plans events for the Dean’s Leadership Circle, which includes the 1908 Society and Walter Williams Society. Prior to joining the J-School, Abby was a multi-platform producer for KING-TV in Seattle, Wash. She also served as the Jackson Bureau chief for WLNS-TV in Lansing, Mich., and managed the station’s content partnership and collaboration efforts with the Jackson Citizen Patriot. Abby also has experience in the Bay Area startup sector, working as a customer experience manager for Weddington Way, a wedding apparel e-commerce company that was acquired by Gap, Inc. Abby is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor of science in agricultural journalism, with an emphasis in broadcast journalism.
