Tracy Draksler Brown, BJ ’00, is an accomplished integrated marketing professional with 23 years of experience in the advertising industry. Before joining the strategic communication faculty in January 2024, she spent more than two decades in the Chicago advertising market, where she held leadership positions at full-service agencies including FCB, TPN and Merge.

Most recently in senior vice president roles, she led the client engagement departments at mid-sized independent agencies including St Louis-based HLK. Over the course of her career, she has led launches, repositioning efforts, and integrated campaigns for brands like Gatorade, American Express, Blue Bunny ice cream, Smucker’s, CSL Seqirus and more. Her work includes Effie and Reggie award winning campaigns for Milk-Bone, Chilly Cow and Smucker’s pet snacks portfolio.

As a Missouri School of Journalism graduate, Brown experienced the Missouri Method first-hand as a student, and she found the real-world knowledge she gained through her coursework was an invaluable foundation to her subsequent career in the industry. That experience shapes her approach to teaching, where she brings her professional expertise to the classroom. Brown’s courses include audience persuasion, foundational principles of strategic communication and AdZou.
