How did you get your job?
Following graduation from Mizzou, I attended Georgetown University Law Center. Passed the bar and began practicing in Dallas, eventually joining Fulbright as a partner.
What is the best professional lesson you learned at the J-School?
Preparation wins.
What advice do you have for current students?
Be passionate about your work. If you don’t get up every morning looking forward to your job, you’re probably in the wrong job.
What is your favorite J-School memory?
Working the Missourian copy desk during summer school the night Nixon announced his decision to go to China. While we didn’t get to stop the presses, we did have to redo the first several pages to make room for the late-breaking news.
