Three from the Missouri School of Journalism Selected for Associated Press Summer Internships
Columbia, Mo. (May 7, 2012) — Three from the Missouri School of Journalism will intern for the Associated Press this summer. More than 1,000 students applied for the 20 paid positions.
They are:
- Emoke Bebiak, a master’s student, will develop video and text in Johannesburg.
- Grant Hindsley, a junior, will work with Pulitzer Prize winner Reed Saxon and focus on photojournalism in Los Angeles. He is from Prospect Heights, Ill., a northwestern suburb of Chicago.
- Hye-soo Nah, MA ’11, will be based in Seoul, South Korea, and will focus on photojournalism and video. She is currently interning for the Muskegon (Mich.) Chronicle.
“The business, news and technology internships are important to AP and to the industry in helping develop future journalists and business and technology acumen in others who can have a long-term positive impact in news and media organizations,” said Jessica Bruce, vice president for human resources.
