Benjamin Hochman, BJ ’02, received an Associated Press Sports Editors award for beat writing for cities with a circulation of more than 175,000. Hochman is a sportswriter for The Denver Post. He has won four APSE awards in the past four years in the investigative, game story, breaking news and now beat writing categories.

Karen L. Miller, MA ’07, business editor and assistant news editor at the Reading (Pa.) Eagle, is also now an adjunct professor of communications at Alvernia University, also in Reading. She earned her master’s online from Missouri while working as a mid-career professional. Miller teaches writing for the media, intercultural communications and public relations.
