Welcome to the Documentary Journalism Program
How often do you get to learn from an award-winning filmmaker and spend a whole year making your own film?
Every day, if you’re a student in the documentary journalism program at the Missouri School of Journalism. Twenty-three students enrolled in the first year of the new documentary journalism emphasis area last August with the goal of developing their long-form storytelling skills. Filmmaker-in-Chief Robert Greene and other visiting professionals help students develop their skills. Just six months into the program, three students showed their work to the world at the 2016 True/False Film Festival, which drew about 50,000 filmgoers to Columbia. [View YouTube Video]
