Columbia, Mo. (April 28, 2016) — The Missouri School of Journalism will host its annual Strategic Communication Awards Show 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at the Tiger Hotel to honor students and faculty for excellence in the strategic communication field.
Reigning Miss Missouri Sydnee Stottlemyre will be the master of ceremonies, assisted by strategic communication students who put the event together with Adjunct Instructor Lauren Eisleben. Food and refreshments will be provided by the Tiger Hotel.
“Our goal for this year was to make the event bigger and better than ever,” said Eisleben. “We can’t wait to show off our strat comm students and recognize everything they’ve accomplished this year.”
Lift Division is sponsoring this year’s award show, which will highlight work from the 2015-2016 academic year. Awards will be given in the following categories:
- Best AdZou Book Design
- Best AdZou Campaign Strategy
- Best Ad Copy
- Best Ad Design
- Best Creative Portfolio
- Best PR Feature Story
- Best Digital Strategy
- Best Video Ad
Strategic communication classes teach the principles of public relations and advertising, providing students the opportunity to get hands on experience and work with real clients through student-staffed agencies, AdZou and MOJO Ad.
