Dean Kurpius Welcomes New Chancellor to Campus
Columbia, Mo. (May 24, 2017) — Missouri School of Journalism Dean David Kurpius, left, congratulates Alexander Cartwright after today’s announcement of his appointment as the new chancellor of University of Missouri.
Cartwright has been at State University of New York since 2014 and has been an electrical engineering professor on the University of Buffalo campus since 1995. SUNY is a 64-campus system, and Cartwright was responsible for overseeing policies for academics, diversity and inclusion issues, enrollment management, student success, information technology and research.
“All of us at the Missouri School of Journalism look forward to helping Dr. Cartwright lead this great university,” Kurpius said.
