Journalism Fall Welcome Lets Students Explore Options for Professional Development and Networking
More Than 25 Journalism-Related Organizations to Share Upcoming Events and Activities
Columbia, Mo. (Aug. 22, 2013) — Current, new and transfer students interested in studying journalism can explore professional development and networking opportunities during the annual Fall Welcome event sponsored by the Missouri School of Journalism.
Representatives of more than 25 journalism-related organizations will be on hand on Wednesday, Aug. 28, to help students identify events, activities and more while enjoying Tiger Stripe ice cream. Fall Welcome will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. in the reception area of the Reynolds Journalism Institute.
The groups host speakers who discuss issues in the field, plan site trips, receive help in internship and job searches as well as network with other members.
