Alumna Elsa Garrison Named to ‘Women of Influence’ Series for Sports Photography
Columbia, Mo. (March 28, 2017) — For more than 20 years, Elsa Garrison, BJ ’96, has photographed elite-level action of a wide variety of sports as a staff photographer with Getty Images Sport. Millions of fans relive the big moments Garrison captures on the sidelines at the World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals and World Soccer, the Summer and Winter Olympic games, the Kentucky Derby, the Belmont Stakes and other sporting events.
Garrison’s accomplishments have earned her the distinction of being named one of 10 selected for the “Women of Influence” feature sponsored by B&H, with the support of Canon and Sony. The March 23 feature includes an 8:35-minute of Garrison sharing how she approaches her work, the equipment she uses and advice to young females wanting to break into the field of sports photography.
