7 Missouri Journalism Students Chosen for Mizzou 39 Award
Mizzou Alumni Association Recognizes Outstanding Academic Achievement, Leadership and Service
Columbia, Mo. (March 6, 2015) — Seven Missouri School of Journalism students are among the recipients of the Mizzou 39 award, which recognizes achievement in the classroom and the community. The annual honor, sponsored by the Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board, is emblematic of the spirit of service that made the founding of the University of Missouri possible in 1839.
The Missouri School of Journalism recipients and their mentors are:
Julia Bush
From: Keller, Texas
Majors: journalism and international journalism; Minors: psychology and music; Certificates: Honors College and multicultural.
Activities and Honors include: Mortar Board; Summer Welcome leader; Outreach Student Recruitment Team co-chair; Columbia Missourian; intern with the Office of Admissions; MizzouThon public relations; Mizzou Wind Ensemble; Outstanding Discovery Fellow.

Maggie Hardwick
From: Salisbury, Missouri
Major: science and agricultural journalism; Minors: agricultural economics, leadership in agricultural and psychology; Certificate: multicultural.
Activities and Honors include: Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority; CAFNR Student Council treasurer; International Association of Students in Agriculture Related Sciences president; Mizzou Collegiate Scholars; Central Missouri Humane Society volunteer; Litton Leadership Scholars.
