7 Missouri Journalism Faculty Members Promoted
Columbia, Mo. (July 20, 2016) — Dean David Kurpius has announced the promotion of seven faculty members at the Missouri School of Journalism.
“Their efforts continue the Missouri Method mission at the J-School of training great students in professional agencies and newsrooms with strong mentorship, feedback and guidance,” he said. “This recognition is well-deserved.”
The new appointments are effective Sept. 1. Those promoted are the following:
- John Fennell, to full professor, a member of the Magazine Journalism faculty
- Elizabeth Frogge, to associate professor, a member of the Radio-Television Journalism faculty
- Annie Hammock, to associate professor, a member of the Radio-Television Journalism faculty
- Andrea Heiss, to associate professor, a member of the Magazine Journalism faculty
- David Herzog, to full professor, a member of the Print and Digital News faculty
- Jeimmie Nevalga, to associate professor, a member of the Radio-Television Journalism faculty
- Steve Rice, to associate professor, a member of the Convergence Journalism faculty
