ELIZABETH BRIXEY is a city editor at the Columbia Missourian. She joined the Journalism School in August 2003, after working for 17 years at the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison, Wis. Brixey was assistant city editor, night city editor and reporter on the higher education, courts and regional beats for the State Journal. She also was a features writer and a copy editor. After graduating in 1985 from Missouri with a bachelor's degree in journalism, she worked at the Columbia Daily Tribune as a copy editor.
