ELIZABETH BRIXEY is a city editor at the Columbia Missourian and an associate professor on the Print and Digital News faculty. Brixey joined the Journalism School in August 2003, after working for 17 years at the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison, Wis. She has been a fellow in two National Endowment for the Arts journalism institutes: in classical music and opera at Columbia University (2007) and dance at the American Dance Festival at Duke University (2009). She has also been a fellow in MU’s Difficult Dialogues program and coordinates the annual Atwater Writing Contest at the Journalism School. She is a 1985 graduate of the school.
